I'll definitely ride it again next year!" "A great event! A great showcase of the beautiful areas to the east of Indy. Very well organized for riders of any skill level. I plan to join again next year. Thanks to my brother Carter Hofmeister for recommending the ride." "Great event, great company, great pre and post race organization....and all for a great cause. I hope to see many more teams out there next year! And thank you to everybody who put in the time and effort for this event, you're hard work really make it fun and easy for all us participants." "I really enjoyed the Fondo - it was a well organized event, a very accommodating location, a great bunch of riders, and I'm really looking forward to next years ride!" "Fastest ride I have ever rode. Loved the competition. The best class of riders I have ever been around." "Fun event and would do it again in a heart beat!" "The Gran Fondo was my very first metric century! The course was great, the food was great, I got to see parts of Indiana I would otherwise never see, and the post ride beer never tasted better!" "A ride that is sure to exceed expectations! Well done." "I turned 40 this year on February 23rd. Instead of buying a sports car for my mid-life crisis, I decided to do 40 events while I'm 40. Rollfast Gran Fondo was event #26 for me. So far, I've done events in 8 states and 3 countries (France, Scotland, US) and they have included tough mudders, triathlons, cycling, running, obstacle runs, & urban trail runs. Thanks to lots of knee surgeries, cycling events are my favorite & this fondo was a great experience. Thanks very much for having a great event nearby that was fun and challenging! I have the medal and the cool bike number w/ chip in my 40@40 memorabilia box." "I was lucky enough to be in Indianapolis on business for the weekend of the 2013 Gran Fondo and therefore because I came from the UK I became the first international rider of the event, something that can never be beaten. I've have completed plenty of 'Century' rides before and have a couple planned for September this year so this would be good preparation but as well as ensuring I covered the distance I also wanted to give the Rollfast team some feedback when compared to UK events……… This was more than a match for anything I've completed in the UK, I think the biggest tribute I can give is the fact that even when I got dropped and sat between two peloton's I managed to safely navigate my around the course due to perfect road markings something that isn't always perfect in the UK!!! The roads used were almost traffic free (which is a bonus and one less thing to worry about) and although some of the road surfaces were far from perfect they were more than passable with an element of care. The riders were great and it was great to see some young ones on the bike, hopefully that is the next generation coming through……….. This type of event easily compares to anything I have completed in the UK and I'm sure this will only go on to be bigger and better in the future but best keep me a spot as I'm already looking at my work schedule for 2014 to ensure I don't miss out. |
